Geldeston GREEN project
With support from the Parish Council and input from local people, in 2010 we developed ideas
about converting the playing field on Station Road into a multi-purpose green space. Our plan
was finalised and adopted and we've now obtained grant money from WREN (Waste Recycling
Environmental Ltd) and the Broads Authority Sustainable Development Fund to carry out
much of the work.
Our first task is to install rabbit fencing and this work should start around 8 May to be carried
out by Jordan Fencing. It's the first step in what we expect will be an exciting and valuable
project for the Village. Once the fencing is done we'll be looking for volunteers to help move
the project forward later in the year with tree planting etc.
So please contact Gill Cracknell if you'd like to help (01502 714 507 cracknellg @ gmail.com)
or Jolyon Oxley for information (jro1946 @ gmail.com 01508 518 136)
