Geldeston GREEN

At the February Parish Council meeting, Brian Norman and Jolyon Oxley presented some ideas to make better use of the village's redundant sports field on Station Road.

The ideas are contained under the heading GELDESTON GREEN. 

This stands for

• Garden • Recreation • Environment • Education

and a Nice place to meet.

Essentially we see the field being used by local people for a variety of activities under these general headings. There's a lot of work still to be done to work up these ideas and to look into the many issues involved.

The PC gave encouragement to develop these ideas further and to report back at its June 2010 meeting.

The enthusiastic support of local people is key to success and so we're hoping anyone interested will contact us very soon.
